Veneers Questions, Answered
How much do veneers cost in NJ?
Porcelain veneers at Brilliant Smiles range from $800–$2,500 per tooth. Composite veneers cost $250–$1,500 per tooth. A full smile makeover (typically 8 veneers) ranges from $6,400–$20,000. Cherry 0% APR financing is available, with payments as low as ~$300/month for qualified patients.
Are veneers covered by insurance?
Most cosmetic veneer cases are not covered by dental insurance because they're considered elective. However, if a veneer is replacing damaged tooth structure (a functional repair), some plans may cover a portion. We'll review your coverage at your consultation.
Do veneers ruin your teeth?
No — modern porcelain veneers require minimal tooth preparation (typically 0.5mm of enamel), and Lumineers require almost none. Your natural tooth structure is preserved beneath the veneer. When veneers eventually need replacement, the tooth underneath is still intact.
What's the difference between veneers and Lumineers?
Lumineers are an ultra-thin (~0.2mm) brand of porcelain veneer that requires almost no tooth preparation. Traditional porcelain veneers (~0.5mm) require minimal prep but are slightly more durable and customizable. Lumineers are ideal for patients who want to preserve maximum natural tooth structure.
How many veneers do I need?
Most patients need 6-10 veneers for a full smile transformation (the teeth visible when you smile widely). Some patients only need 2-4 veneers to correct specific concerns. Your $199 consultation includes a detailed plan showing exactly how many veneers fit your goals.
Can I get veneers if I have gaps in my teeth?
Yes — veneers are an excellent way to close small to moderate gaps between teeth without orthodontic treatment. For larger gaps or significant alignment issues, we may recommend Invisalign first, then veneers for final shape refinement.
